Survivors!
On Saturday, March 28th, The University of Guelph will be hosting its annual RELAY FOR LIFE event on campus – and your presence is needed!
For those who have not yet been acquainted with the event, Relay for Life is about the coming together of community for a night of fundraising, for the recognition of cancer’s universality, and most importantly, for the collective strengthening of hope.
The presence of the survivors is an invaluable component of the event in regard to the sense of community and the personalization cancer’s reality. While nothing is required of you in your attendance, survivors will share experiences at their will, take part in the survivor dinner, and take a symbolic walk around the track in the “survivor lap”, and can participate in other events ongoing throughout the night.
So fly solo or bring family and friends for a night of cause, hope, community and inspiration.
E-mail Meagan via the information below, and visit the website at http://www.cancer.ca/relayyouth.
We hope to see you there!
Meagan - Chair of Survivor Committee
